Discover Persepolis Persian Cuisine

When it comes to experiencing the rich and flavorful tastes of Persian cuisine in the heart of Sandy Springs, Persepolis Persian Cuisine stands out as a must-visit spot. Located at 6435-B Roswell Rd, Sandy Springs, GA 30328, this charming restaurant offers an authentic taste of Iran, blending traditional dishes with modern hospitality.

One of the highlights of Persepolis is its ability to deliver the true essence of Persian cooking. The menu offers a variety of dishes that are rich in flavor, color, and culture, making it a perfect destination for those eager to dive into something new or those already familiar with the spices and herbs that define Persian cuisine. Whether you’re a fan of kebabs or stews, Persepolis offers a taste of Persian culinary expertise in every bite.

I remember my first visit there-walking into the warm, inviting space, I could already smell the tantalizing scents of saffron and grilled meats filling the air. The service was welcoming, and the atmosphere felt like a slice of Persian tradition in the middle of Georgia. I decided to try the lamb kebabs, which came highly recommended by the staff. The meat was cooked to perfection-tender, juicy, and seasoned beautifully with Persian spices that had just the right balance of heat and sweetness. Paired with a side of herbed rice and a freshly baked piece of sangak bread, it was a meal to remember.

One thing that makes Persepolis Persian Cuisine special is the extensive menu. You can find everything from classic kebabs, including koobideh (ground beef kebab), to stews like Fesenjan, a rich pomegranate and walnut stew that is both comforting and deeply flavorful. For those looking to try a variety of dishes, the mixed grill platter is a great option, offering a taste of multiple meats, each perfectly seasoned and grilled.

For vegetarian guests, Persepolis also has a selection of dishes that don't skimp on flavor. The Khoresh Gheymé, a yellow split pea stew made with eggplant, tomatoes, and a blend of spices, is hearty and satisfying. Additionally, their selection of dips, like hummus and mast o khiar (yogurt and cucumber dip), pair beautifully with their freshly made flatbreads, providing a light but flavorful start to any meal.

The restaurant also offers a great selection of Persian teas and desserts. Their traditional baklava, sweetened with rosewater and honey, is a delightful way to end the meal. The tea is served in a classic Persian style, complete with sugar cubes and accompanied by small sweets, making it the perfect finale to a satisfying meal.

Over the years, I’ve seen Persepolis build a loyal following in the Sandy Springs area, and it's easy to understand why. Their commitment to using fresh ingredients and authentic cooking methods has earned them rave reviews. Guests often mention the restaurant’s ability to stay true to traditional recipes while offering a modern twist, making each visit feel like an adventure through Persian culinary heritage.

What stands out most is how Persepolis Persian Cuisine blends exceptional food with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is attentive and always eager to share their knowledge of Persian food, ensuring that even those new to the cuisine feel right at home. The restaurant is perfect for a casual night out with friends or a family gathering, and it's an excellent choice for anyone looking to try something new without stepping too far out of their comfort zone.

In a city where culinary diversity is celebrated, Persepolis holds its own as one of the best places to enjoy authentic Persian food. Whether you're enjoying the comforting flavors of a lamb stew or diving into the perfect kebabs, each dish is a testament to the rich food culture of Iran. If you're in Sandy Springs, don't miss the opportunity to experience the warmth and flavor of Persepolis Persian Cuisine-a true gem for food lovers and culture enthusiasts alike.

  • Brought a group of people here for lunch. Unfortunately they don't have their buffet running so we had to order full dishes rather than try a little bit of everything. We shared the appetizer sampler which was absolutely delicious! The eggplants were probably my favorite. Most of our group ordered various kabobs, all of which were enjoyed. I ordered the fesenjun and it had a pretty good flavor but felt a tad bit overcooked, surprisingly enough. After we finished, I ran into the store next door. It's exactly what you'd expect from a Mediterranean/middle east market. Lots of great times at very reasonable prices but quite crowded and stuff with product.

  • I had a large group of picky eaters to entertain for dinner. Amy at Persepolis helped me create the perfect menu and everyone was happy and raving about the delicious food. Bonus…they delivered and set up my meal for 25 people for $30. Best decision I made was hiring Persepolis!! It is delicious and highly recommend.

  • Very nice buffet. As a Persian I managed to get my kebab and ghorme Sabzi together which was great . The ghorme sabzi tasted very good. I just wish the desert buffet has a little bit of more variety . We ordered Persian ice cream out of the buffet which was again tasty .

  • It was my husband birthday celebration, it was our first time there ,but I truly recommend it,is relax and not too many people so we were able to talk in that long table. The appetizer combo was great, prices are reasonable.,the only detail I was disappointed is they don't have belly dancers any more

  • Great healthy food and service, the atmosphere too with nice traditional music, with big parking space and now with buffet service

  • The food is excellent, with fresh bread straight from the oven (tanor), and the service was outstanding. The atmosphere is calm and quiet, complemented by good music, making it a very pleasant place to dine. The only drawback is that a 15% service charge is automatically added to the bill, yet the bill asks for tip and the staff still expect an additional tip on top of that, which feels unnecessary and confusing. It is like an average 35% to 40% tip you ended up paying. Be careful DO NOT PAY FULL TIP on top of 15%
